This course is suitable for NDIS, Disability Care, Aged Care & Allied Health workers assisting clients.

Our hybrid learning approach combines online learning with practical assessment with a live trainer. This will develop and improve your skills and knowledge to ensure currency, competency and safety in manual handling and patient moving.

Our goal is to help carers prioritise their own safety at work so they can provide the best care to their clients and keep safe from musculoskeletal injuries. We know that to achieve lasting change, along with teaching specific client moving transfers, we also need to instill a deep understanding of how the body works and how an injury occurs so that carers can take this knowledge and apply it to any workplace task.

What our students say

The Potential Ability Group

Nicolle James

We engaged Backsafe to assist with further educating our Occupational Therapists around manual handling and back safety. Peter our trainer was fantastic, in a room with twenty women he kept us interested and the presentation was informative, eye-opening and very humorous at times, which is always a bonus when learning. Facts were clearly explained and expanded on and practical examples shown and undertaken by the team. We would highly recommend Backsafe to anyone looking for comprehensive and professional training in this area.

Hi there. just wanted to let you know I did a Backsafe session this morning and one lady commented - of all the manual handling training I have had over the years this has been the most comprehensive and easiest to understand about how important it is to look after your body and your back. Go Backsafe Principles!
